What is Editing ?

Editing refers to the revision of an existing translation in terms of style, spelling, domain-specific terminology, and consistency with the original text. This is particularly relevant for academic works and publications intended for repeated future use.

Quite often, even those with a strong command of a foreign language encounter difficulties in producing a natural style, especially when the target language is not their native tongue. For this reason, final editing is always carried out by a native speaker with an appropriate academic background.

The cost of editing depends on the quality and accuracy of the existing text as well as the subject area. Fields that are less developed—or not developed at all—in our country generally require higher rates, as such texts are forwarded to our partner university experts abroad for editing.

what is Proofreading ?
