Notarization of a Translated Document
Notarization of a translation entails assuming full legal responsibility for the accuracy and content equivalence of the translated document. The notarized document is signed by our staff member and stamped with our official seal.

Notarial Certification
At the request of the client, the company provides notarization of the translated document and registration of the notarized document in the electronic notary registry. The cost of notarization is not included in the translation fee; accordingly, this fee is added to the translation cost, and the total amount is invoiced to the client.
Cost of Notarizing a Document
The cost of notarization depends on the number of pages in the document. Notarial fees are determined according to Articles 31 and 39 of the Resolution No. 507 of the Government of Georgia dated December 29, 2011, as well as Article 166 of the Tax Code of Georgia, which covers the notarial fee, VAT, and electronic registration of the document in the notarial registry.

Delivery of Translated and Notarized Documentation
Our company offers several options for delivering translated and notarized documentation:

Electronic delivery: The notarized version of the document can be sent via email.

Postal delivery: Delivery within Georgia and worldwide. If this service is requested, its cost will be included in the invoice.

Courier service: If this service is requested, its cost will also be included in the invoice.

The notary performs the following notarial acts:
(t) Certifies the accuracy of the translation of a document from one language to another.

Order №2359 of the Minister of Justice of Georgia (On Approval of the Instruction on the Procedure for Performing Notarial Acts), Article 56 – Certification of Translation Accuracy:

A notary certifies the accuracy of a translation from one language to another if the notary knows both languages.

If the notary does not know the language of the translated document, the notary only certifies the authenticity of the translator’s signature regarding the translation’s accuracy. The notary must indicate in the certification that they are only verifying the authenticity of the translator’s signature.

The original or a copy of the document must be accompanied by the translation, which must be signed by the translator. The document must be bound according to the rules established by this instruction.

The translator must present a document confirming their qualifications to the notary. Providing proof of qualification is not required if the translator is accredited by a competent administrative body to translate official documents for apostille (legalization) purposes. The notary must inform the translator of their responsibility in case of an incorrect translation. The notary’s certification must indicate that the translator has been warned and their qualification has been verified. Attaching a copy of the translator’s qualification document is not mandatory for the translation.
